Homemade scones and cakes; plenteous tea and coffee; great conversation; and a chance to hear the stories of Nicoleta Mezei and Jo Smith as they talk about how their faith makes a difference to living with disability.

These are the elements of our Afternoon Tea.

Jo first met her husband Rob when she graduated from University. Rob’s invitation to join him at church ignited a rediscovery of Jo’s faith as well as a relationship with Rob. Now married nearly nine years with two children their shared faith has shaped their outlook on marriage and family life. Rob’s disability has always been a part of their relationship, but their trust in God’s plan for them has enabled them to see his work through it, and to embrace some exciting opportunities along the way.

Nicoleta. After meeting God at the age of fourteen Nicoleta’s view on life changed dramatically. She was introduced to Cris online when they were seventeen and she fell in love straight away without even meeting him in person. The past fourteen years is a beautiful history. God used their love to bring Cris to faith, and now with their two year old son Isaac they follow God together. Disability has always been part of their story and they can see blessings in it.
