Our Autumn ‘half day away’ or our very own ‘Escape to the Country’!

Sometimes the advice on sharing Jesus with our friends and family can feel a bit like David trying on Saul’s armour – it doesn’t fit! Instead it feels suited for someone who is a gifted ‘evangelist’ or an extrovert who by the end of any train journey knows the life history of the person sitting next to them. If we’re honest, whilst we’d love to see Myton Church growing through new people discovering Jesus (our Imagine initiative) we’re not always sure how to share the wonderful message of the gospel in our contexts through our personalities or how to involve others.

This year’s Away Day will take a leisurely look at these themes. Paula Harris, a northern lass now living in Leicester will lead our sessions. Paula works for Avenue Church, which is rooted in a local community and where she encourages them in their evangelism.

Copious amounts of tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day along with Danish pastries on arrival, a light lunch and homemade cake.

We are using the church centre at St Peter’s Church, Wellesbourne – hopefully far enough from home for most of us to feel like it’s a ‘mini-escape’ but not so far that travelling becomes onerous!
