Women@myton draws women across the church together in faith building friendships and activities plus we look to introduce other women to Christ

Women@myton seeks to provide a means for women in the church to:

1. Build and deepen friendships with other women within the Church particularly across different generations and circumstance.

2. Be transformed by applying God’s Word into their situations.

3. Invite friends to events as a way of both introducing them to others from the church and to the Christian faith.

A variety of events are organised at different times of the day and week to try and meet peoples’ varying needs and preferences. Our events are normally just for adults so it’s an opportunity to relax in a ‘child-free zone’. Occasionally we extend the invitation to young women in the school years 10 and above where we think the event is particularly appropriate but when this is the case it will be indicated on the publicity.

The annual ‘half day away’ draws together those who regularly attend Myton Church. It gives extended time for hearing and responding to God’s word and relaxing with other women from the church.

Regular breakfasts and evening events are suitable for friends, neighbours and colleagues who may have little knowledge or experience of the Christian faith.  These normally include a guest speaker who will address a particular topic or share their personal story and how God has worked in their life.

Occassionally completely informal ‘Chill and chat’ evenings are hosted in a local pub.  Look out for these every couple of months. There is no planned talk or activity on these evenings, just an opportunity to chat over a drink or two.  All are welcome to come along, no need to book, just turn up and bring friends!
