Many people in Britain have possessed a Bible and may be uncertain what it is.  The Gideons aims to give them the opportunity to read it for themselves, perhaps for the first time, and to discover God in a personal way.

The Gideons provide Bibles or New Testaments to many places including hotels, hospitals, prisons, student accommodation, care homes and medical centres.

Each year members of the Gideons present personal copies of the New Testament and Psalms to children in thousands of secondary schools and to many university and college students.  They also make personal presentations to medical personnel and uniformed services – Armed Forces, Police, Ambulance and Fire.

Several Myton members are involved with the Gideons locally and as a church we cover the cost of presenting New Testaments to pupils at a local school.
