crossroadsThe Cross Roads group at Myton Church exists to serve adults with learning disabilities

We meet on the second Sunday afternoon of each month from 3.30 pm until 5.00 pm in the Church Centre.  Many of those who attend come from one of several local residential homes with their carers, and others are brought by family members.

The programme normally takes the form of a service of worship that includes Bible teaching, singing and prayers (all intentionally prepared so as to be easily understood by those present) with refreshments served afterwards.  However, the August meeting consists of outdoor games and a barbecue while the December meeting is a Christmas party.

Occasional trips are organised to Christian regional events and residential weekends specifically for those with learning disabilities.

Cross Roads is affiliated to a nationwide Christian charity called Prospects.  Prospects is committed to enabling more people with learning disabilities to enjoy wider acceptance and inclusion, better services and support and more opportunities to share and experience God’s love in Christ.  For more details visit http://www.prospects.org.uk/
